Tai Chi Done Right
Aren’t the group lessons and group exercises enough? Isn’t the most important part of Tai Chi the movements? In a word, no. The workshops are designed to foster a more comprehensive understanding of Tai Chi Chuan, its theory and its applications.
Only after comprehending Tai Chi on the theoretical levels can one truly reap the benefits of Tai Chi. You may choose to use Tai Chi Chuan to improve your health, as a method of self-defense, or simply enjoy it as an art. Either way, these workshops will help and open your mind to a new world.
As an exercise form, Tai Chi is rooted in the Taoist philosophy of Wu-Wei or following the path of nature. For those new to Tai Chi, these workshops will provide them with an in-depth understanding of the principles of Tai Chi, while others with past Tai Chi Chuan training will benefit from gaining the ability to carry out the real strength of Tai Chi Chuan through a San-Shou (Parrying routine) practice.
The underlying strength of all Tai Chi Chuan stances, regardless the different schools, are consists of the same eight elementary forces. This series of six workshops provide a well designed San-Shou routine to identify and efficiently practice all of them.

- The underlying strength of all Tai Chi Chuan stances, regardless the different schools, consists of the same eight elementary forces. This series of three workshops provides a well designed San-Shou routine to identify and efficiently practice all of them with an understanding of qi kung.
- Sometimes we can’t find the ideal posture and form. This may be due to a lack of flexibility of mental blockages. This series of two workshops focuses on individual’s flexibility and structure enhancement. These exercises build awareness, flexibility and strength and a new awareness of the body.
- Tai Chi can inform every part of our life. In this workshop TC Hou will introduce ways to apply Tai Chi philosophy to weight control and body functionality.
